Details are emerging about a horrific triple shooting last night at a Cypress motel that has left one man dead, and two others seriously injured.  The alleged gunman, Steven Matthew LaClaire has been arrested and faces three felony charges.
Here are the details from the Cypress Police Department.
On February 24, 2011, at approximately 9:34 p.m., Cypress   Police Officers were dispatched to a report of gunshots heard at the Cypress   Lodge Motel located at 5601     Lincoln Avenue.  On arrival, officers located   three adult male victims, inside of one of the motel rooms, suffering from   gunshot wounds inside.  
One victim had a gunshot wound to his chest, the   second had a gunshot wound to his legs and the third victim was found   deceased as a result of a gunshot wound to his torso.  T
he surviving victims   were transported to the University   of California, Irvine Medical    Center.  The first   victim is in critical condition and the second is in fair condition.
Steven Matthew LeClaire was arrested by responding   officers at the crime scene and booked at the Cypress City Jail for PC 187   – murder and PC 664/187 attempted murder.  At this time, a motive for   the shooting has not been determined.  
Detectives are actively investigating   this incident as a homicide and the victim’s names are not being   released at this time pending notification of their next of kin.
