DOWNEY --

Rebecca Wells, a well liked employee with the Los Angeles County Department of Internal Services was found dead in her Downey office cubical on Saturday afternoon.

She had been deceased for at least one entire day before anyone of her coworkers realized that she had died.

I am speechless over this entire situation.

How could this possibly happen? Why did it take three days for this information to be released?  According to a media report on KTLA News (and many more on the way, trust me), Wells, apparently died while working in her cubicle in Downey last Friday, February 11th,  but no one noticed she had passed away for at least a day or even longer later.

How can an employee with the County of Los Angeles die at her desk and NO ONE NOTICES for at least 24 or 36 hours?  Talk about needing some type of "accountability" within the County of Los Angeles.

First, with all due respect to the family of Ms. Wells my heart goes out to you for your incredible loss.  It seems like Rebecca was a loving, kind, compassionate person, who had just become a first time grandmother.   Flag of County of Los AngelesImage via WikipediaI hope the Wells Family can get through this difficult time in their lives, and I also hope they can get the best Attorney in LA County to represent them.

Downey police detectives claim that the last time a co-worker saw Rebecca alive was last FRIDAY morning around 9:00 a.m.  Unbelievable.

Wells is a USC graduate and was employed as a Compliance Auditor
How. Why. Speechless on this one.
