New video from last nights horrific high speed crash has been posted by KCAL 9 News. The crash took place at Barranca Avenue and East Puente Street, about a half-mile north of Interstate 10 in Covina last night at around 11:45 p.m. The driver of the Mazda suffered a fractured neck and a broken pelvis, Pasadena police Lt. This was one of the most horrific high speed pursuits I have ever seen on television here is car crazed Southern California on Monday night around from 11 p.m. till Midnight.
A police pursuit of a suspected DUI driver that began in Pasadena ended in one of the most brutal and hideous crashes you could ever imagine. Still no word it anyone was killed, but it will be a miracle if anyone lived in the car that was plowed into by the "alleged" driver. God only knows what the suspect was loaded on?
The suspect, described only as a "Hispanic male adult" led police through several communities in the San Gabriel Valley section of Los Angeles County including the communities of West Covina, Azusa, City of Industry, Covina and Pasadena.
How could anyone live through this horrific crash caused by a driver under the influence? Image from KCAL 9 News. |
I took the above image from the chase seconds before the impact between the two cars collided while Paul Majors and Pat Harvey from KCAL 9 News delivered the shocking story live. Police took the suspect into custody, and I cannot imagine the amount of charges he is going to be facing. A dog in one of the cars also was ejected during the crash.
As soon as an official update is announced by law enforcement, and the name of the victim or victims in the car that was destroyed, I will update my blog.
We are loosing way too many people to driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Tonight thousands of television viewers (including myself) watched the horror of this ongoing "nightmare" continue in the world around us.
