A NEW DAY IN BELL BEGINS: New City Council takes oath before hundreds for relieved residents

What a night.  Incredible.  Historic. Pomp, and under very JOYFUL "circumstances." 

Just got back for an amazing night in Bell, California.  I was honored to be "front and center" to watch and photograph (yep and document) the swearing in of the NEW BELL CITY COUNCIL.

Taking the oath of office tonight was Councilman Ali Saleh, Councilman Nestor Valencia, Councilwoman Violeta Alvarez, Councilman Danny Harber, and Councilwoman Ana Maria Quintana.  It was a standing room only crowd and hundreds more were watching in a "over flow" room for this "night of nights" for the people of Bell.
Assemblyman Ricardo Lara is beaming ear to ear giving the oath to Councilman Nestor Valencia!

The new city council was sworn into office by Assemblyman Ricardo Lara.  Each of the newly elected city council promised to do "the right thing" as elected city council members, and to "never" betray the "trust" of the community.

Afterward, several "celebrations" were held all over Bell in homes, restaurants, and social halls to congratulate the new "Bell City Council!"  I was stunned to see the entire Bell Police Force (literally) at the Swearing In Ceremony.  (What a "show of force.")


Now the real work begins.
