What a match of a lifetime that is about to take place a half a world away.  More than a billion people will be glued to the internet and cable networks on Saturday to see the 2011 Cricket World Finals between India and Sri Lanka.

Turn on BBC (yep, them Brits, did it again) to see the excitement mounting for the one "SUPER CLASH" between two rival nations.

India and Sri Lanka are preparing for the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup Final.  It takes place on
Saturday, 2nd April, 2011, and is the  49th and final match of this amazing world championship.

Venue: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
Timing: 09:00 GMT, 14:30 local, 14:30 IST

Not sure what cable network is going to air the finals here in the United States.  Trust me, if you follow Cricket, you KNOW EXACTLY where it will be aired.

BTW.  My team was the West Indies out of Kingston, Jamaica.  Saw them practice when I was in Kingston last summer.  They failed to make the semi finals.

Got to pull for India.  Yep. Do it!

Here is some of the latest "news" and injury reports on from the two teams.
  • India's fast bowler Ashish Nehra who played a big role in the 29 runs win against Pakistan at Mohali may miss the Final of 2011 Cricket World Cup with finger injury.

  • Nehra who took 2 wickets in the semi for just 33 runs was injured while attempting an unsuccessful catch of Shahid Afridi as replays confirmed the ball had bounced in front of him, was in pain and immediately had his finger taped.
  • Sri Lankan spin legend Muralitharan who is probably playing his last match is also injured even though he played semi with hamstring injury, a side strain, a troublesome knee and a groin issue, and chances are that he may play one final time.
