Well, they have arrived on the "deal" of the year.

Democrats and Republicans have just reached an agreement that will keep Uncle Sam open for the remainder of the 2011 fiscal year.

So, we have averted a total total federal government and "meltdown."

Minutes before the midnight deadline, House Speaker John A. Boehner emerged from a meeting with the House Republican Caucus to say that an "agreement had been reached."

All that is left to make the deal official is for lawmakers in both the House of Representatives and the US Senate to vote on the final deal.

As far as the controversial items of funding Planned Parenthood, and to implement President Obama's health care plan, and the funding of public television and other "side items" will be voted on in separate bills still needed to be voted on by both bodies.
